The application of pollen as bioindicator of the environmental state
Marečková, Kateřina ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
Pesticides and their excessive use lead to environmental pollution. Violation of the guidelines for their use disposal of empty containers could lead to contamination of water, soil and poisoning of animals and beneficial insects. Honey bee is useful creature on our planet. Good farming depends entirely on the pollination, but whole vegetal kingdom couldn’t exist it form known and used by mankind. Therefore, rules that protect these useful creatures against inadequate use of pesticides have been developed. This study focuses on the evaluation of the possibility to use bee products as bioindicators of the state of environment. Five active substances which are components of pesticides used in the treatment of agricultural field around Tasovice village were analysed in the pollen and honey. For sample preparation QuEChERS and SPE methods were used, gas chromatography with to mass spectrometric detection was employed as final analytical technique.

Legal regulation of beekeeping
Kramperová, Barbora ; Fabšíková, Tereza (advisor) ; Damohorský, Milan (referee)
The diploma thesis discusses beekeeping and the basic rights and obligations of beekeepers and other persons responsible for ensuring the greatest possible protection of bees. The absence of a single comprehensive law results in the fragmentation of legislation into many private and public law regulations. The diploma thesis describes the main institutes of beekeeping law from its very birth to the present, with an evaluation of the pros and cons of individual development tendencies, together with an outline of the legal regulation, what de lege ferenda should be. This thesis is divided into three main parts, which are subsequently divided into chapters, subsections and possibly lower levels. The first part consists of four chapters dealing with the historical development of beekeeping and beekeeping law in our territory. The second part, focuses on private law areas of beekeeping, is divided into two chapters. The first chapter of these defines the bee in terms of private law. The second one deals with the issue of neighborhood rights, while the individual sub-chapters include the topics of neighborhood rights as a civil law concept, immigration, swarm law, liability for damage and its compensation, and methods of resolving neighborhood disputes. The last part deals with public law and is divided...
Beekeeping and Its Use in Elementary School
Voska, Karel ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
This thesis focuses on beekeeping and possibilities of its use in elementary schools. The first part is dedicated to the entire superfamily Apidae with a focus on the honeybee. However, other representatives are also mentioned across various social models, from solitary bees to those living in different levels of community life, up to large bee colonies. The second part of the thesis outlines the development of beekeeping, first at a general level and then within our country. It covers the inception of the relationship between humans and bees, the first pioneers of true beekeeping in the Mediterranean by Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, and the development of beekeeping in our territory from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The third and final part of the thesis is dedicated to the utilization of beekeeping in elementary schools. In this didactic section, various possibilities of incorporating bees into education across different subjects in elementary schools are described. The text includes proposals for topics and lesson plans, possible utilization of interdisciplinary relationships and tandem teaching, as well as suggestions for worksheets. The second part of the didactic work focuses on the beekeeping club at the elementary school, particularly its rules and types for its proper functioning....
Technické a alternativní metody k šetrnému tlumení varoózy
NOVOTNÝ, Josef
Varroosis is a disease afflicting beehive on every continent except for Australia. Since 2000 the disease is known to be caused by the Varroa destructor mite. This thesis' first goal was to summarize information about this parasite and the methods limiting its impact. The second goal was to prepare and conduct a test verifying the effectiveness of the ultrasound method, which was carried out with the Varroa-Killer-Sound device. In order to enable the analysis, bee samples from two hives were chosen and those were then tested for the quantity of Varroa destructor females using the sugar shake method. The first sample group consisted of bees treated with the ultrasound method, the latter were control beehives, which were not experimentally treated. Furthermore, other factors were continually measured: temperature, relative humidity, and dew point of the external environment. The results of the research were analyzed by the STATISTICA 12 program.
Sledování včel na vstupu včelího úlu

The main goal of this work is to design and put into operation a camera system for an intelligent beehive located at the Experimental and Educational Apiary of the Biological Center of the ASCR, v. VI in the area of the Dendrological Garden on Branišovská Street No. 31 in Č. Budějovice and to create software for monitoring, counting and space identification of bees at the entrance of a beehive. The system will consist of cameras connected to the Raspberry Pi where it will be processed using the image processing method. The obtained data will be processed on the server and stored in the database. Part of the obtained results will be displayed using Grafana's visualization tools.
Ověření funkčnosti kočovného zařízení vlastní konstrukce
Tůma, Antonín
The bachelor thesis describes the historical development of migratory beekeeping from ancient history, through Slovakia to the Czech Republic. It also deals with forms of migratory beekeeping and basic types of beekeeping transporters. It explains the benefits of mobile beekeeping for the pollination of plants and crops including the economics of pollination. The thesis also describes other the risks of mobile beekeeping, such as diseases or poisoning. The main point of this thesis is to verify the functionality of the bee hive transporter of own construction and design. There is a negative recommendation of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund, based on opinion of former Research Bee Institute in Dol, today Ltd., that our transporter is inappropriate for transportation of the bee hives. Finally, the history of development and the advantages and testing of the functionality of our transporter is evaluated.
Apidofauna v podmínkách druhově bohatých porostů genetických zdrojů pro potřeby opylení zelenin a speciálních plodin
Vládek, Aleš
The aim of the bachelor work was perform a literary research on pollination of especially horticultural and other special crops in relation to the influences of the environment that influence the formation of bee comunities. Scientific knowledge pair up with present pollinizing needs for not only horticulture crops and Apoidea populations monitor in genetical resources of plants of Výzkumném ústavu rostlinné výroby and neighbouring control areas in Olomouc. Eight Apoidea monitorigs were made from June to September in 2016. Results have shown a direct dependence between the richness of the flowering plant species and the richness of the bee species and the equally important importance of the nesting site. The cultivation of many entomophilous plants and the good management of the area is supported by the pollination of cultural and wild plants.
Infestace včelstev Nosema spp. v průběhu roku v různých lokalitách
DURČANSKÝ, Pavel
The nosem infection is a worldwide spread bee illness caused by two microsporidia (Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae). The aim of this thesis is to follow the occurrence of Nosema spp. and density of infection in the selected bee colonies considering the relation between N. apis, N. ceranae, climatic conditions and the condition of each bee colony concerned. In my thesis, I have used two ways of originator identification. The first was microscopy, using which we have discovered significant changes in the number of spores in one bee colony within one year. After the experiment had finished, we evaluated the number of measured spores in connection with the outside temperature, humidity, number of colonized frames, extenders, gentleness of bees and their sitting on the honey combs. The second way was using the PCR method. Through this method we have identified the percentage of positive bee colonies on the selected locations. Furthermore, we have confirmed the occurrence of each of the originators and evaluated if there is a mutual influence of Nosema spp. between bee colonies.
